In the last decade, there has been dramatic growth in research on LGBTQ+ issues in schooling. There is more knowledge than ever about the school experiences of LGBTQ+ students, and about strategies that make a difference for creating safe and supportive schools and communities for LGBTQ+ youth. How can CBOs use research to better inform policies, programs, and practices that promote the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ youth? This workshop reviewed key findings from this body of research, and identified ways to use research to make the case for policy and practice change.
